U.S. Supreme Court refuses to ‘Free the Nipple’ in topless women case

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Supreme Court on Monday decided not to “Free the Nipple,” refusing to hear an appeal by three women fined by a city in New Hampshire for exposing their breasts in public who argued that banning female but not male toplessness violates the U.S. Constitution.

The justices left in place a 2019 ruling by New Hampshire’s top court upholding the women’s convictions for violating an ordinance in the city of Laconia that makes it illegal to show female breasts in public “with less than a fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple.”

To be honest I agree with the Supreme Court on this.  The Supreme Court should not be dealing with this.

I, like many other women, went through a transformation when I was in a nudist environment. Surrounded by people of all shapes and sizes, I went topless in Ibiza. In that moment, I didn’t suddenly love my body — but, I accepted it. I learned to say “fuck you” to hating it. I started to enjoy life, free from the constant anxiety that my body wasn’t “good enough” to do so.

Colorado City Council decides 11-year old girls can walk around topless in Public.

Uhhh…yeah.  This is where I have a serious conflict.  But hey you guys discuss this in the comments section while I try to wrap my brain around this one.

Excerpt from the article:

Following a ‘Free the Nipple’ campaign in Fort Collins, Colorado, feminists have won a victory allowing women–and girls as young as eleven–to be bare-breasted in public.

After a three-year lawsuit, activists have won a case where a topless ban from city law has been removed by Fort Collins City Council.

The removal of the law will allow girls as young as eleven to legally walk around the city topless, costing the city over $320,000 in fees.

Good luck out there with this one guys.

I Refuse to Make my Kids Ashamed of Their Bodies so We’re a Naked Household!

I think the title says it all!

I Refuse to Make my Kids Ashamed of their Bodies So We’re a Naked Household

Other times, he would pounce in ready to tell me about the random thoughts that were racing through his big toddler mind.

I was always naked and both of us were comfortable with this.

In fact, all these years later we are still comfortable with our nudity.

Our whole family seems to be comfortable with nudity.

We change in front of each other, often share a stall in the family change room at the pool and shower with the bathroom door open.

Nude Camping: Why You Need to Try It ASAP

Nude Camping: Why You Need to Try It ASAP

Ahh, naked camping. The wind in your hair, the soft grass under your butt, the sun touching every inch of your body, and having a full area you can roam around and explore that’s not your private back yard.

For many naturists, this is the idea of pure bliss: what better way to celebrate your love of nature than to be surrounded by it, in your most natural state?

If you’re the kind of person that runs in the opposite direction when camping is mentioned, you might want to have a look through this list. Naturist camping might be one of the best things you could do this summer!

Going Commando.

Just found a couple of funny articles about females going commando so I thought i would post them.

I Go Commando And So Can You: 14 Times No Underwear Is The Best Option

No Panties, No Problems: 11 Reasons Why Women Should Go Commando

I do support men and women going commando.  But i also understand the risks involved.  But as a Naturist I do see going without underwear as a mark of who we are.  We are people who do not want to wear clothes or feel that closes are a 24-hr necessity.  So going commando reaffirms our beliefs in a manner of speaking, or maybe showing or not showing.  Either way its up to you, but i enjoy going commando on the daily.

Oh and here are some links to some interesting shirts:

Why is it Necessary to Take Nude Photos of Oneself?

reposted from this blog: Why is it Necessary to Take Nude Photos of Oneself?

I have been wondering why I find it necessary to take skyclad photos, why anyone who is a naturist/nudist or someone who simply enjoys being nude. Why the images? Why are they posted to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, or other social media sites? Having spent way too much time wondering about this, I think I may have arrived at an answer that fits many who are like me.

Images are there to help us, to help me, get out of our heads. They become a visible proof that we are more than just feelings and thoughts. There is an honesty, or at least an attempt at honesty, expressed in these images. Risking being vulnerable enough to be honest, is not the same thing as posting images for exhibitionist purposes. The images I am talking about have nothing to do with lewdness, lust, or then tension of sexuality. Intention, it all comes down to intention. Images that are exhibitionist have a motive of obtaining sexual satisfaction or to shock. So, what is the intention?

If you take photos of yourself au naturel, why do you do so? What is your need? Why do you allow others to see these images? Why the risk? All images have a purpose and meaning. However, we rarely know what the purpose and meaning of our own images are about. There is a story, a story of at least 1,000 words for each image. More often than not, the story is yet to be discovered, as the image is more about unconscious projection than that it is about conscious intention.

As for myself, the images tell the story of my reclaiming my authority rather than having the authority projected onto others. I refuse the authority of the shadows from my childhood. I refuse the authority of a church that would tell me that my naked body is sinful. I refuse to be a victim. Of course, there are laws and a broader society within which we all find ourselves. For our own safety, we find that fine line between “in your face” confrontations and in hiding from the world and our own fears.

Read the rest at the link above.  But i have to admit I am inspired to take more nudes of myself.

Friday Footnote: Bare and GLBTQ Potpourri

i liked this and i decided to reblog it

ReNude Pride

There are many blogs that I regularly follow. Some are strictly bare-related and others are are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer (GLBTQ) oriented. Believe it or not, there are even a few that are very similar to ReNude Pride and regularly focus on the same gender loving (gay) and bare communities simultaneously. Often, these excellent publications offer posts that are directly related to articles that have recently posted here. The purpose of this Friday Footnote feature here is to offer everyone reading here the opportunity to read the perspectives of others.
