Protesting for Naturism/Nudism.

Its a idea.  Let’s think about it for a moment.  And yes, I am being serious here.  Maybe we should start protesting.  It would give us great visibility and help spread the word about naturism/nudism.  But maybe protest is too strong, too angry.  Maybe the idea of a Naturist March would be a good idea.  Yeah that’s the ticket.

Since the gays, the non-binary gendered. and the Social Justice Communists have been holding rallies, protests, and out right riots as of late i started thinking, “Why don’t we stage a peaceful march in support of the Naturist Community?”  We are definitely a minority, and maybe we could claim some kind of victim status (although personally i do not want to do that).  We could start a peaceful march during one of the Naked Bike Rides and spread from there.  Now i know what the next question is: “What do we protest/march for?”

  1.  More Nude Spaces.  I suggest when we march we claim that we are asking for more nude beaches, trails and parks where we can go nude.  Since we are paying our tax dollars to maintain these areas, we as naturists should be allowed to enjoy them in the nude as well.
  2. Change the Indecency Laws.  Right now a number of laws say you can be arrested for being seen nude via the window inside your house or being seen in the nude on your own property.  These laws need to be changed.
  3. Speaking Out.  We need to speak out and talk about being nude and the health benefits of it.  The march/protest would be the perfect chance to do so.
  4. Body Positive Outlook/Movement.  This one is totally optional.  While it will probably garner support from the SJWs and feminists, I am not sure I want their help since they are a bunch of communists and special snowflakes.  They’ll make us look more like loons then sane people.

Well that’s all i can think of for right now.  But i do wonder would any of us be willing to actually protest in the nude?

Hasn’t worked for the Castro protesters in San Francisco. Before protest mean anything simple nudity needs to be normalized. Connecting to broader issues like fossil fuels in the case of WNBR is a step in the right direction.

I don’t think we should connect with other political causes because then our message will get quickly overrun by the groups who hold those political beliefs.

But like it or not the message is a political one. The message can only be overrun if it allowed. Which is what has happened already. If you asked ten people today what the naturist or nudist message is you would likely get at least half a dozen different responses and opinions. IMO as long as the message is just get naked it will be rejected. If people start to see being clothes free as connected to other ordinary beneficial aspects of life then it is more likely to be received. But that’s just my opinion based on observing what’s been successful.
