Okay…in the spirit of my last post i will start the Nude Seniors picture post idea that i had some time ago.
You know the hardest thing about getting old is realizing that you are getting old. Just recently one of my young co-workers offered to lift a heavy box because he was worried that i might hurt my back “at my age” he stated. Yeah that kinda stung, but I’m literally old enough to be his father since i am 39 and he is 19. So yeah I guess to a 19 yr old, I am getting old.
But just because we get old, doesn’t mean we can’t be nude and that we have to stop living. Just my 10 cents for this post.
So after all these years this revelation finally hit me. All of you have been to the standard beach and as you look around you see the usual young girls in their skimpy two piece bikinis correct. And yet when you look at the old and fat you see this:
I never thought about it, i never even realized that yes we still discriminate against the old and the fat on the beach. You see the old and fat have been told, weather openly, through the media, and through going to the beach as well that they don’t own their own bodies the moment they hit the beach. They need to cover up because no one wants to see their fat and/or wrinkled bodies.
Now this is something that I could say that we as Naturist can point out and use it to encourage people to frequent nudist and topless beaches. But there is a problem. The problem is that young people still react harshly to seeing the old and overweight in the nude or topless, and many will stop coming to nude beaches and nude resorts if they feel they have to look at old bodies all day. Of course this is just egotism and youthful arrogance speaking, but it is a problem when we want to attract more young people to the Naturist lifestyle.
Suffice to say i don’t have any grand solutions to this. But i will say that by now you’d think that the fat and elderly women would have broken this mold of shame about their bodies and have strode onto the beach in a two piece bikini without any shame and ignoring the stink eye given to them by young people.
Just my 10 cents on something i thought about.
Nudist Games: Olive Dell takes the trophy at SoCal Nude Games
For the past five years, the idea of a sports competition between the various naturist groups in Southern California has been steadily on the rise. This year, however, the day-long multi-club competition on August 8 at Olive Dell Ranch really captured the imagination of the region.
An estimated 75 people participated in the 10 events, representing several different clubs, and everyone – including the onlookers- seemed to have a good time as the “athletes” fought hard in games designed to test strength, endurance, and intelligence.
From the crowd reactions, the favorite games were the paper cup relay, the noodle race around the pool, Frisbee toss for accuracy, and the balloon toss.

I found this article and the picture to be hilarious! I mean c’mon folks its not like she’s doing the same thing Kathy Gifford did or something in that vein. Plus its a advertisement for a gym. But i thought it was funny. I’d want to go to that gym. How come we don’t have nudist gyms popping up around the country?
You know i just had a idea. Yes…yes naturist/nudist gyms popping all around the nation! We can have naturist gyms, and there you will exercise in the nude as a basic rule! Then the 20-something hipsters will join the gym thinking its the new hip thing to do! And then we’ll traumatize them when they get to see all those old, wrinkled bodies!!
MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!! Imagine their shocked faces when they have to look 30 years into the future and see what hard work, children, and gravity does to the body! Oh yes we shall give their spoiled little butts nightmares for years to come! Oh and we’ll get healthy too. Can’t forget getting healthy.
So help me come up with a name for this nude gym franchise. I’m thinking “Fit to Naked” or maybe “Natureal Fit”.
I have to admit what inspired me to write this was a post on 4chan in response to a picture of average good-looking woman in the nude. The said he was surprised at how ugly people look in the nude:
My first desire was to lash out at the person and chew them out for what they said. But then i thought about it, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all have a right to our opinion about what we consider to be beautiful and what we consider to be ugly. So lashing out at the guy would have been improper. Instead I could just simply state my opinion that I thought he was wrong. But what happened was I started thinking about beauty in general.
So who wants to see some 80 yr old woman in the nude? Does anyone want to see a fat, 60 year old man who genitalia looks like it got lost in the blubber? Let’s just be honest, no most of us do not. Because we as humans have defined beauty as youth and fit bodies, and that has a tendency to be portrayed in the pictures we generally show of nudity and nudism in general.
Now don’t get me wrong I’m not going to chew anyone out for having fit, young bodies in their advertisements for resorts or in pictures on their blogs. One instance is for business the other is a personal preference. And while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is ugliness. The thing about beauty is that there are two types of beauty:
First there is Sexual Beauty or it also be called Attracting Beauty. This form of beauty is pleasing to the eye and most people also find it sexually attractive. Its part of the way we are built as humans, so we cannot look at it as bad because God instilled it in us for the sake of helping us procreate.
The next form of beauty is Natural Beauty. It is the beauty that only Nature herself and God can make. Mankind cannot create it, only destroy it. Such beauty is timeless and there for the general appreciation of all Humanity.
So then what am I getting at with this post. What I’m trying to say is that we as Naturist must not have “Body Acceptance” but we must obtain “Body Contentment”. Think of “Body Contentment” as the enlightened form of “Body Acceptance”. In Body Contentment” we are content that there are certain things about our bodies that we cannot change, and that these things make us less physically appealing to the naked eye. We accept this ugliness as part of who we are and how God made us.
Think of Body Contentment in the form of the fat, 86 year old naked woman. Why is she content with her looks? She is content because she has lived long enough to look the way she looks now. The woman knows that she is lucky to have lived to see 86 years. She sees her current body as something she has earned and is glad in it.
What we should strive for as Nudists is Body Contentment in the now, not wait until we are too old and are somewhat forced to do so. Being content is in many ways better then being happy. In contentment we can find happiness in so many other things beyond ourselves. Such as the 86 yr old woman finds happiness in her great grandchildren, not in her looks. If we can reach the stage of Body Contentment then i believe we’ll all be a lot happier with ourselves whether we are nude or clothed.
